Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC) is a publicly traded company domiciled in Canada and is the holding company of The Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. MFC was incorporated in Canada on April 26, 1999. MFC offers financial protection and wealth management products and services to personal and business clients as well as asset management services to institutional customers through its operations in Asia, Canada, and the US.
MFC operates as Manulife in Canada, Asia, and Europe and primarily as John Hancock in the United States (US). The Company is traded under 'MFC' on the Toronto, Hong Kong, New York, and Philippine stock exchanges, and under '945' on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
The Company maintains a broad geographic presence across 12 markets in Asia including, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Bermuda, mainland China, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Myanmar.
As of end-2024, MFC has US$1.1 trillion in assets under management and administration, including US$0.3 trillion in total invested assets and US$0.3 trillion in segregated funds net assets.
